An independent Farsley bookshop and cafe which only opened in June is already recruiting booksellers.
Truman Books has had such a successful opening that owner Amanda Truman is looking to recruit for one or two part-time positions.
Truman Books is a general bookshop, selling adult and children’s books, a carefully curated selection of gifts, and coffee and cakes in its cafe. Posting on Facebook, Amanda said:
“We are looking for enthusiastic, capable booksellers, with a passion for books and for great customer service. You will ensure that all visitors are provided with the highest standard of service to create a positive and memorable visitor experience, and will be happy to chat to our customers about books, authors, adventures and everything in-between!
“As this is a new venture the role will evolve over time, and flexibility and a can-do attitude will be key. We are looking for one or two part time booksellers to work roughly 8 to 16 hours a week.”
Amanda said flexibility is key, there will be evening and weekend work, and additional hours available to meet business needs.
