New carers’ support group launches in West Leeds

By Nikki Pattinson

Carers Leeds are excited to open a new carers’ support group serving the West Leeds community.

The group launches on Thursday, 10 August, 10.30am at New Wortley Community Centre, Tong Road, and will then run every second Thursday each month.

Our groups are safe spaces where you can meet other carers, take time out and enjoy a cuppa.

To book your place please call the friendly Advice Line team on 0113 380 4300.

What is an unpaid carer?

An unpaid carer is someone who provides help and support to a family member, friend or neighbour who couldn’t manage without their help. This could be due to illness, disability, mental health problems or substance misuse.
