Mum of two Anita French has launched a children’s book at a special event held at Trinity Methodist Church in Bramley.

Jack and the Ultimate Dare is an adventure novel for children aged nine to 12 years old and is based on the parable of the Good Samaritan.

Ms French, 38, is a teacher and said it had always been her late mother’s dream to publish a children’s book.

The event was supported by face painting, balloon modelling, games and pianist William Nguyen.

William is a 12-year-old student from Chethams School of Music, Manchester. He is hoping to become a concert pianist; this is impressive as he has only being playing the piano for 3 years. He surpassed the expectation of his tutor, Jo Brook, and has passed grades 1-5 in one year.
