West Leeds residents are being invited to explore some of the city’s best blossom spots.
Love Leeds Parks, in partnership with National Trust & Fruit Works, has launched this year’s “Leeds in Blossom” campaign.
Chloe Sykes, of Love Leeds Parks, said: “This year’s campaign focuses on engaging a broader audience of residents with blossom at community orchards across the city.
“We have produced a map of some of the best community orchard blossom hotspots and a programme of volunteer-led community events at Headingley Community Orchard, Meanwood Farm, Farsley Community Orchard, Seacroft Forest Garden and Drighlington Community Orchard.”
Love Farsley CIC is inviting people to a family-friendly community event at Farsley Community Orchard celebrating blossom with refreshments, storytelling, and games. The event runs on Saturday, 26 April, from 10am – 12pm. Details of where to find the orchard can be found here.
Details of events across the city can be found here.
Orchards in Bramley, Kirkstall, Horsforth, Farsley and Armley are included in the interactive blossom trail map, which people can follow:
Printed maps will be available in community hubs shortly.
