Let’s play: Playbox returns to Charlie Cake Park

A former shipping container which provides play for children (and adults) is returning to an Armley park. Local resident EMMA BEARMAN has all the details:

Our Playbox will be in Charlie Cake Park and open on the 23rd April on the Saturday afternoon.

It will be there for a month, and we’re keen to hear from you if you would like to help run activities and open it up, even if it’s rounders and craft. The more people we can involve the more it will be able to open!

It will be moving on to Seacroft in June and then two other communities in Leeds during August and September.

Let’s make the most of it whilst it’s here as Playful Leeds are sponsoring it free of charge to be in our home hood!

If you can help with time, kit or money towards running costs whilst in Armley that would really help benefit the children and families of Armley with more play.

Please get in touch and spread the word!

Let’s all hope the weather gets better too.

Emma can be contacted here.

  • Meanwhile, the first ever Armley Good Stuff singing group meets at Interplay on Monday – more details here.
