Leeds is bracing itself for the third one-day bus strike tomorrow (Friday, July 8).
Around 1,000 bus workers at the Bramley and Hunslet Park depots will strike from 2.01am in a dispute over pay. Around three-quarters of bus services in Leeds will be cancelled.
Services running
The following services in West Leeds WILL run as normal:
- 508 Halifax to Leeds via Farsley and Kirkstall Road
- 670 Bradford to Leeds via Greengates Rodley and Kirkstall Road
- X6 Bradford to Leeds Express
- X11 Bradford to Leeds via Pudsey
Reduced services
The number 4 service will operate on an hourly basis from Pudsey from 7.23am. The last bus from Leeds is 6.09pm. The service won’t run through to Seacroft but will be split into two in the city centre.
The number 16 will also run hourly, starting in Pudsey at 7.41am with the last bus back to Pudsey at 5.39pm and a service terminating in Bramley which runs at 6.09pm.
Numbers 33 and 72, which cut through West Leeds, will also run hourly. All other First buses are cancelled.

First warn buses may be subject to change on the day, as circumstances dictate. Fares charged on the services below will be £1 adult single and 50p for school children.
A fourth act of industrial action – a half-day strike – is scheduled for Monday.
