Kirkstall: Water main repair work may cause peak-time traffic delays

A water mains burst could lead to peak time delays for motorists travelling through Kirkstall until at least Friday.

The leak is on busy Bridge Road, Kirkstall, at the junction with Savins Mill Way.

One lane will be closed in-bound at the junction to allow works to be completed safely.

There is also a one way /inbound closure on Broad Lane from Wyther Lane to Bridge Road as Yorkshire Water need to access the water valves.

Traffic is diverting through Broadlea Terrace and onto Leeds and Bradford Road.

Delays should be expected in the area especially during peak hours.

Once repairs have been made to the water main, works will then begin on reinstating the damaged areas of highway.

It is expected that the lane closure will remain in place until Friday although it could continue into Saturday morning.
