Plans for a public park in Kirkstall valley will be discussed at a meeting of a West Leeds community group.
Kirkstall Neighbourhood Forum is preparing a Kirkstall Neighbourhood Plan to give residents better control over development and more influence over council spending.
The group is holding its annual meeting later this month and is inviting Kirkstall residents to attend. Secretary John Illingworth said:
“We have some exciting developments to report in relation to our neighbourhood plan, and the very real possibility that we may get a huge new public park in the Kirkstall Valley as part of the Leeds Flood Alleviation Scheme.”
The meeting will also elect a board to run the group.
The forum will meet at New Burley Club in Burley Hill Drive on Thursday, 30 November, starting at 7.30pm.
