Kirkstall: Police appeal after Queenswood Drive collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after the rider of a stolen motorcycle was injured in a road collision in Kirkstall. 

The 23-year-old man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary with serious injuries following the incident, which happened outside Queenswood Social Club, in Queenswood Drive, at 1pm yesterday (Sunday, August 14). 

The red Lifan Mirage motorcycle he was riding was involved in a collision with a silver Volkswagen Golf. The driver of the Golf, a 46-year-old man, sustained slight injuries. 

It it believed the rider had been travelling with another person on a motorcycle at the time of the incident but that vehicle sped off from the scene after the collision. 

The injured man remains in hospital with serious injuries that are not considered life threatening. 

Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could assist the investigation.
