Leeds Libraries are offering young Lego fans in West Leeds, and across the city, a free activity to enjoy in their own home during the May half-term holidays.
‘It’s a Lego Jungle Out There!’ is a downloadable adventure pack, featuring Lego challenges, puzzles, and plant growing, based on Katherine Rundell’s book, The Explorer.
Although the pack doesn’t include Lego, it does re-create an interactive escape room scenario that requires minimal building blocks, beginning with an introductory video from the book’s eponymous character.
Activities include creating a Lego cress garden, building a bug hotel and constructing a recycled bottle-boat.
Details on how to receive an adventure pack can be found here and any young master builders who complete all the tasks will gain access to a secret video.
Multiple physical copies of the The Explorer are available to reserve here and you can also access it as an e-book and e-audio book on the library app BorrowBox.
The release of ‘It’s a Lego Jungle Out There!’ lasts the full length of the May half-term holidays (May 29 – June 6t, so you can complete it in your own time.
Leeds Libraries are now open for browsing but you can still reserve books, order and collect Selection Bags and pre-book a PC.
