Inner West Leeds: Young people urged to speak out on how money is spent on services

Children and young people in West Leeds have their say on how money should be spent on activities aimed at them.

Councillors from the Inner West Community Committee have launched an online youth activity survey to enable them to influence how youth activity funding is allocated in the area.

A spokesperson said:

“We hope to engage with as many children and young people as possible.”

The survey will be available until 30 April 2021, when the information will be collated to recognise the top five priorities which will then be shared with local councillors.

Findings will influence how they allocate their Youth Activity Funding budget for 2021/22.

The survey can be found here.

The Inner West Community Committee is made up of nine councillors from three wards: Armley, Bramley and Stanningley and Kirkstall.

  1. No the Inner West Community Committee isn’t made up of 9 Councillors from three wards! It’s 9 Councillors from three wards plus 9 Co-opted members representing our local areas! Perhaps we should just give up because it seems like nobody ever bothers to acknowledge our existence?
