On Saturday morning 27 Aston Martin cars did a short tour of Farsley before arriving at Sunny Bank Mills at 10.30am and leaving from noon.
The owners were there to offer mines of information and anecdotes to a very inquisitive public. Ivor Hughes was there with his camera.
Favourite on the day, hardly surprisingly, was a green 1956 Aston Martin DB2/4 three litre sports car that was part of David Brown’s 1950s production in Farsley (pictured above). The reward on the day was an edible Aston Martin offered by The Farsley Cake Company (below).
Other cars receiving plenty of attention included YNC 191L – a red 1972 Aston Martin DBS V8 Series 2, C8 SRA – a silver 2021 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera and XOO 7 – a silver 1978 Aston Martin 5340cc V8.
Another receiving more attention than most was the curiosity of the day, 100 WXJ – a blue 2012 Aston Martin Cygnet S with an engine capacity of 1329cc (all four pictured).
