A new charity superstore has opened its doors on Kirkstall Road, offering 13,000 square feet of preloved furniture and clothing.
When the new British Heart Foundation (BHF) store opened its doors on Kirkstall Road earlier this month, BHF mascot, Hearty, was on hand to greet customers as part of the opening celebrations.
Shoppers will be able to browse a full selection of preloved items that have been generously donated.
The new store features clothing and accessories and homeware including sofa suites, dining sets, wardrobes, and soft furnishings. There’s also a range of preloved and brand-new white goods and electricals which have all been PAT-tested.
Richard Lay, BHF area manager, said: “I want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has worked so hard over the last few weeks to get the store up and running. We are lucky to have found our lovely new store, which has a big car park, making it easy for our customers to drop by.
“If you happen to be having a clear out, we will gratefully collect any furniture from your home for free or welcome any bags of clothing donations or homeware. We’re a busy new store, and we’d also love to hear from anyone who has a couple of spare hours and wants to try out volunteering.”
The BHF is offering ‘taster’ volunteer sessions this summer, allowing volunteers to drop in for a couple of hours to try out volunteering.
By donating your time, you will be funding lifesaving research to support the 7.6 million people living with heart and circulatory conditions in the UK. Try out a taster volunteer session with the British Heart Foundation by dropping into the store or following this link.
The new store is open seven days a week.

Hello, it’s the old Office Depot site next to the Premier Inn and the Powerleague football site at the city centre end of Kirkstall Road. Thanks for your interest.
