Here’s what food banks are desperately short of – and where you can donate in West Leeds

Leeds North and West Foodbank is appealing for donations of food to support vulnerable people during the Coronavirus lockdown.

The foodbank is run by the Trussell Trust and has seen a surge in demand in recent weeks.

Items needed include: Tinned meat, Long life fruit juice, Vegetarian meals, Tinned fruit, Sponge puddings, Tinned and mashed potatoes, Tinned spaghetti, Cleaning products, Soap and toilet rolls.

A spokesperson said:

“We have had some extremely busy sessions this week. Vulnerable people are needing our support.”

You can drop off unwanted foodstuff at the following points in West Leeds:

Tesco, Bramley Centre

ASDA, Owlcotes Centre, Pudsey

Morrish Solicitors, 9 Lowtown, Pudsey

The Mill Kitchen, Farsley Town Street

Pudsey Parish Church, Church Lane
