Now we are seeing the first signs of brighter days and spring shoots, a small group of folk in the Raynville and Wyther Park area of Armley feel it’s time to give their streets and green spaces a bit of a spruce up!
They are making a start on Sunday morning on the 19 February, meeting bright and early at 10am outside the Nisa shop on Raynville Road.
Litter pickers will then move along Raynville Crescent and then up the green ‘cliff’ towards Wyther Park Hill and beyond. If you spot us please come out and talk to us and cheer us on!
We’ll have litter pickers, gloves and the well-known purple rubbish bags, kindly supplied by local councillors.
In addition to offering advice on recycling or donating unwanted items, Leeds City Council will collect larger items of domestic waste for free. More details here.
