Election fever is building as voters prepare to go to the polls for the 2017 General Election – and we want YOU to help set the political agenda.
Prime Minister Theresa May last week announced plans to call a snap general election on June 8.
The main political parties will go into battle when they launch their election manifestos – turning the spotlight on issues including Brexit, health, immigration, education, crime and pensions.
Parties are starting to finalise their candidates ahead of the May 11 deadline.
Two Parlimentary seats are up for grabs in the West Leeds Dispatch readership area, with voters going to the polls in Leeds West and Pudsey constituencies.
And, as YOUR local news outlet, we want to ensure that you know as much about the candidates as possible before you make the all-important decision.
We want all candidates in both constituencies to answer the burning questions that are important to you.
If you have a question you’d like to put to all candidates, e-mail us at news@westleedsdispatch.com, Tweet us @wldispatch, post on our Facebook page, or make as suggestion in the comments section of this article below.
Closing date is Friday, May 5.
We will then pick the top five questions to put to the people chasing your vote.
When do candidates see austerity coming to and end and living standards and security improving?
