Five new four-bedroom houses could be built on land off Kent Road in Pudsey, if Leeds City Council planners give the green light.
The new houses, by developer SpringRock Homes (Pudsey), will replace existing dilapidated barns, stables and storage containers on the site, to the west of Turkey Hill.
A planning statement accompanying the application said the proposals would upgrade the site access and create a new private road. A number of new trees would also be planted within the site.
The statement, compiled by Bowman Riley Architects, adds: “The proposals will provide a much-needed housing stock in the area.
“In conclusion, the overall development promotes a more effective use of land and will significantly enhance and make a positive contribution to the local area.”
The proposals, which are due to be decided by 10 August, can be viewed in full here.
WLD last week reported on fresh plans for 25 family houses at the other end of Kent Road, off Varley’s Yard.
