A new community choir is set to hit the high notes in Farsley.
Farsley Village Singers is a newly formed group of local people who like to sing. The friendly and informal singers are due to meet on a Wednesday night from September 9 in St John’s Church (7-9pm).
Organiser Jen Silvester, of Rodley, said the group held an initial get-together earlier this month:
“We met for the first time and chatted about what we wanted to get from being in a singing group. We also managed to sing a bit – quite a bit of it was in tune and harmony!
“All are welcome to join us whatever your standard and experience of singing is – t doesn’t matter whether you are an experienced singer – just come and join us. Look out for posts on our Facebook page for further information.”
