This month Farsley Community Initiative held its AGM at Farsley Celtic and revealed that during the last, difficult 12 months, Farsley Farmers Market held eight outdoor and six indoor events out of the usual 11!
The market team were very proud as they have worked hard to make it safe and keep it running for its traders and the local community.
But, we have to pause here and say thank you to so many others. We are very grateful to our faithful traders who have continued to support the market, to volunteers who stepped up to marshal the lockdown events, to the solo artists who added atmosphere to some cold and damp mornings and to you, the visitors, who have really made it all worthwhile.
As Covid restrictions ease some market guidelines will remain in place but the Market Kitchen is now up and running, manned by a family “bubble” serving the basics – bacon and sausage sandwiches, with tea, coffee or juice. Watch this space for an expanding menu!
Christmas is on the horizon and you will have additional opportunities to purchase seasonal produce and beautiful gifts on the following dates:
- Sat 27th Nov Farsley Farmers’ Winter Market 10am–1pm.
- Wed 1st Dec Farsley Christmas Lights Market 6.30pm–8pm.
- Sat 18th Dec Farsley Farmers’ Christmas Market 9.30am–1pm.
Find more information on our Facebook and Twitter accounts and make a note of the new extended market trading time of 9.30am – 1pm which begins on 18th December and continues into 2022.
We will also be looking for more helpers and new performers as we move forward – email farsleyfarmersmarket@hotmail.com.
