Farsley Celtic’s game against Peterborough Sports gets confirmed date

Farsley Celtic’s next league fixture has been confirmed as going ahead – just over 24 hours ahead of kick off.

The club has confirmed that its National League North Fixture match against Peterborough Sports will take place tomorrow (Wednesday, 23 October) at 7.45pm.

The game is technically a ‘home’ fixture for Farsley Celtic and will be played at Bradford (Park Avenue)’s Horsfall Stadium.

The game cannot be played at Farsley’s Citadel stadium due to stalled work on laying a new 4G surface.

Farsley go in to the game with a mounting injury list and a transfer embargo hanging over the club, but will be looking to turn around their recent fortunes following back to back defeats to Kettering Town in the FA Cup and Friday’s 3-0 loss at the Horsfall to Spennymoor.

The same night, Farsley Celtic will also play in the West Riding County Cup against South Leeds in a game switched to the South Leeds Stadium in Middleton. The Celts’ team will be made up of young players from its emerging talent squad.
