Farsley Celtic will be looking to return to winning ways tomorrow (Saturday, 7 October) when they face a trip to Scarborough Athletic following a two-week break.
The Celts were handed a weekend’s rest last week after losing out to tomorrow’s opponents 3-0 in an FA Cup second round qualifying stage replay last month.
The Celts will have seen it as a missed opportunity to not have taken the win in the first clash after missing plenty of chances in the first half, which led to the sides playing out a 1-1 draw at The Citadel.
In the National League North, both sides have enjoyed similar starts to the season, with Scarborough and Farsley sat 13th and 14th in the table respectively, both on 13 points with a goal difference of -3. Both teams will be hoping to put some distance between themselves and the opponents tomorrow.
Farsley will have to contend with plenty of threats from the North Yorkshire side. Lewis Maloney hit a brace in the replay, which included a stunning free-kick from 25-yards-out.
The Celts pose a lot of threat to Scarborough too however, with the likes of Clayton Donaldson and Ben Atkinson in the attack, but they will be without Darren Stephenson for the fixture as he serves a suspension. Lewis Turner is likely to miss the rest of the season.
