Farnley Falcons plan new changing rooms

A West Leeds rugby team has submitted a planning application for three temporary changing rooms at the side of playing fields in Farnley.

Farnley Falcons ARLFC wants to put three temporary portable steel containers at the side of Butt Lane Recreational Ground.

Two of the containers would act as changing rooms with shower facilities, the other would act as a storage container.

The Falcons, who used to be based at nearby Farnley Sports and Social Club until it closed in late 2014 and was then demolished after an arson attck last year, play at the Butt Lane ground.

The club currently has six teams ranging from minis through to open age.

You can view – and comment upon – the planning application over on the council’s planning portal.

  1. Done brilliant things for the local area, over 60 kids involved with training during the week & playing matches on weekends. Will be good for everyone in the local area to get behind it.
