Farnley Falcons’ coach pedals up £1,600 for club

A coach at Farnley falcons rugby club has cycled 537 miles to raise money for his junior team’s trip to France.

Craig Nolan is coach at Farnley Falcons U13s and has so far raised more than £1,600 after cycling from John O’Groats in Scotland to the home of the Farnley Falcons Rugby Club on Butt Lane.

Half of the proceeds will go directly to the club, while the other half will support the U13s’ trip to France in 2026.

“Unlike my usual approach of not training for my challenges, whether it was completing the Leeds marathon, conquering the Three Peaks in December on my own, or riding 600 miles in a month during the Covid-19 pandemic, this was my toughest test yet,” Mr Nolan said.

“I usually just dive into challenges without training, and I don’t typically ask for donations. However, this time I’m kindly asking for any contributions you can make as I push my body to its limit and wild camp in the middle of nowhere. I’m absolutely thrilled about this ride.”

Mr Nolan was joined by friend Christian Kisby.

There’s still chance to make a donation here.
