Stanningley Park Bowling Club will once again be inviting the community to a family oriented afternoon on Thursday, 1 September.
The Common Health Games is an intergenerational event for all ages – from grandparents and grandchildren – to take part in the fun bowls themed activities on offer.
Come and have a go at target practice, net bowls, skittles and more, as well as being introduced to the traditional sport of crown green bowling! It will be a wonderfully relaxing but entertaining afternoon and, best of all, it is free.
From 4.30pm there will be the opportunity for all attendees to take part in some competitive sports day themed fun. Look out for the special guest visitor too! Walk-ins will be welcome too
Registration for the event is at 2pm with a picnic break at approximately 4pm. A free healthy picnic tea will be included for those that pre-book their place. There will be additional refreshments available to purchase as well as a raffle and stalls from local businesses so you may wish to bring some cash if you want to support the club.
Please wear flat shoes closed toe shoes. As the event is outside please bring a cap and suncream or umbrella and raincoat depending on the weather. Your own picnic blankets and folding chairs are also permitted.
Tickets can be booked through this Eventbrite link or by e-mailing stanningleybowlsclub@gmail.com The event is being co-hosted by Harehills Park Bowling Club who have secured funding from Leeds Community Champions to put on four summer bowls events across Leeds.
