Wortley & Farnley: Welcome Home Festival
St John’s Church on Dixon Lane Road is throwing open its doors and inviting the whole community to join in its Welcome Home Festival.
It has been described as a celebration of belonging, creativity and connection. It is being held on the 13th and 14th of September and will include a full weekend of music, activity, art and joy.
“The Welcome Home Festival will be a place to share, celebrate and to feel part of something bigger. Whether you come to showcase your art, enjoy the concert, try your luck in the raffle or simply soak up the atmosphere. You are invited to be part of the welcome.”
Tickets for the Saturday evening are available to purchase now and cost £5 in advance or £6 on the door.
The full running order is as follows:
Saturday, 13 September
- Church and art show opens from 10am
- Barbecue 11.30am – 1.30pm
- Messy Church 3pm – 5pm
- Concert 7pm – 9.30pm
Sunday, 14 September
- Special church service 9am and 1.30am
- Church open from 12pm – 3.30pm
- Raffle, coffee and cake closing at 3pm
