Seagulls: Mosaic Workshop

This 2 hour workshop enables you to learn the art of mosaic: from design through to a finished piece.  You will have the opportunity to create an a4 size mosaic on a board or on mesh, depending on whether you want the mosaic for indoor or external installation.

Over the 2 hours you will be guided through the design and making process to learn the techniques needed to create a beautiful mosaic.

If you have a specific project in mind then that’s fine too, please bring your design ideas and measurements. We can help you kick start your project and you will have the opportunity to purchase additional tiles and equipment if you have a bigger, more ambitious project in mind.

*NB – Projects will need to be grouted from home. All grout is included in the cost and you will get a demonstration on how to do this.

FAQ

1. Parking – There is plenty of parking in the yard

2. Refreshments – Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. If you haven’t got time to have tea before you arrive and it’s too late to eat after 8 then feel free to bring a pack up and munch whilst you mosaic!

3. What to wear – Mosaic isn’t particularly messy but the studio can be dusty and you will be using PVA glue so we recommend wearing clothes you don’t care about or to bring an over shirt or apron.

4. Designs – It’s not essential but we recommend coming to the workshop with a design idea in mind.
