Take a leisurely stroll in the fresh air, enjoy a hot drink in our visitor centre and discover all that this award winning local wetland habitat has to offer.
Created on a floodplain in Kirkstall Valley, a recognised ‘flyway’ for wildfowl and waders on migration, the wetland habitats constructed here compliment the nearby River Aire and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.
There is so much to see including Owls, Kingfishers, Lapwings, Kestrels and much more. See website for details of latest sightings which include the Gadwall, Cetti’s Warbler and even the Common Buzzard!
Assistance dogs only.
Access to the Reserve via the canal swing bridge is now fully operational although delays can occur at times due to boat traffic.
