Perfect for children who love making and creating! Each day there will be a creative, engaging and playful workshop inspired by our gallery exhibition Definitions of Drawing ll and led by a mix of experienced freelance practitioners and our Gallery team
Day 1 – Playing with Clay
Led by Poppy from CloD Pottery children will be designing and making ceramic sculptures from air dry clay and decorating them with colourful patterns and textures, based on Jessica Ackerman.
Day 2 – Shaping Light
Led by artist and creative practitioner Bryony Pritchard, children will dive into the ideas of glass artist Fiona Grady to build and decorate 2D, 3D, small and large-scale responses with some fun warm up games.
Day 3 – Stitching with Stories
A creative writing and illustration workshop led by poet and writer Matt Abbott, children will use their imagination to respond to the work of Saima Kaur who explores play and storytelling through stitch.
Day 4 – Collaging Characters
Led by artist and arts educator Sonia Moran, children will be drawing and collaging their own characters inspired by Kate Black’s work in the gallery.
