In this exciting four-week online poetry course with poet, Poppy-Lee Jennings you will explore the theme of ‘People’ through the power of poetry.
The course is split into four weekly sessions, each class lasting 1.5 hours. Each week will explore different aspects necessary for writing poetry about people, be it close friends, family, or strangers. The taught elements will include looking at behaviour, dialect, appearance, character traits and more, while the workshopping portion of the course will encourage feedback and teach you to critique constructively and kindly your own work and that of others
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced writer, this course is designed to inspire and enhance your poetic skills.

**Poppy-Lee Jennings is an artist and writer based in Leeds, UK. She runs Leeds Poetry Festival and works with organisations across the city on events, projects and community outreach. Her work has been published widely and she has performed across the country, including with the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Poetry Festival, Nymphs & Thugs, Leeds Lit Fest, and more!
