Heritage Open Days 2024 is back, from 6th – 15th September!
Heritage Open Days is England’s largest festival of history and culture, involving thousands of local volunteers and organisations. Every year in September it brings people together to celebrate their heritage, community and history. Stories are told, traditions explored, and histories brought to life. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all FREE.
After 3 decades the festival continues to bring people together to celebrate their heritage and community history. This year Heritage Open Days celebrates its 30th anniversary and Leeds Civic Trust celebrates 26 continuous years of co-ordinating events making our city one of the country’s earliest participants in the festival.
Leeds will play host to over 100 events, many embracing the festival’s theme ‘Routes, Networks and Connections’.
