Hollybush: Stone Carving Workshops

In conjunction with Stonewater UK , we are delighted to be able to offer this opportunity of a Stone Carving Workshop here at TCV Hollybush with @patwalls_sculpture.
Patrick is a professional sculptor working on a public art project for Stonewater, at their Calverley Lane development in Horsforth. He is making a large abstract stone sculpture and a series of stone benches. Your carving designs can feature on the stone benches.
Over the course of the session you will learn the basics of stone carving and produce your own small bas-relief carving to take home. Patrick will photograph or take impressions of the work produced and use these ideas when creating the stone benches.
Whether you have some experience of stone carving or have never picked up a chisel before, no prior knowledge is required, just a willingness to learn and have fun.
The themes for the designs are nature, elements, or conservation, so have a think about a simple design that you’d like to carve which would represent one of them.
