Please join us at Bramley War Memorial for our annual Service of Remembrance to remember all those who gave their lives at home and abroad – those whose sacrifice allows us to live in the freedom we enjoy today. We will be remembering with gratitude and sorrow all the service personnel – the Royal Navy, the Army, the Royal Air Force, the Royal Marines, the Merchant Navy, the Fleet Auxiliary – from all parts of the Commonwealth. Join us in creating our Field of Remembrance when we place individual crosses – each with the name of one of those inscribed on the war memorial. We remember too all those who served on the Home Front – the firefighters, the air raid wardens, the doctors and nurses caring for the wounded, the men and women in reserved occupations and those who took on the jobs of toiling in the mines, the factories and the fields – all these who played such a vital role in the war effort.
