Armley: SHEnanigans Life Drawing

We’re so excited to invite you to our upcoming Life Drawing session, and even more excited to introduce our wonderful volunteer model – one of our amazing SHEnanigans members, JK.

In a world that so often tells us to shrink ourselves, hide our imperfections or chase impossible standards, JK is choosing to do the complete opposite. She has bravely volunteered to be our life model… despite never having modelled before!

Here’s what she had to say:

“I love SHEnanigans for everything it does to bring great women together to try something different, and this will certainly be different for me! I heard at an event that they were trying to find someone, and I thought, ‘I can do that!’.

We’re from all different backgrounds, sizes and shapes, and as a Mum and Grandma of a big family, of course my body has changed – but that’s something I’m proud of and want to celebrate.

This evening isn’t about perfection or posing. It’s about presence. It’s about celebrating the bodies that carry us through life, the stories they tell, and learning to see beauty beyond impossible ideals.

By stepping into this role, JK isn’t just modelling a body – she’s modelling self-love, confidence, vulnerability and courage. And we think that’s something truly special.

So whether you’ve never picked up a pencil before or you love to draw, come and join us for an evening of creativity, laughter and celebrating real women.
