Armley: SHEnanigans Hula Fitness & Festive Community Craft

Ever tried Hula hooping? Not since you were a kid? Well here’s your chance to have a go again! We have a professional hula hooper coming to give us a taster session on hula fitness. Whether you’re into fitness or not, we encourage you to come have a go! We are sure it will be a good laugh above all else. To stay hydrated, we recommend bringing a drink along with you and wear comfortable shoes/clothing.
We will also be starting our Festive community craft, this involves simple sewing of 100 christmas stockings to fill with gifts to then donate to children who are in need this christmas. You don’t need to be a whizz at sewing, we can help with that and there are lots of other steps included that we need help with such as decorating, cutting out the fabric and filling. You can choose to take home and bring back your stocking, or leave your progress with us until the next event. As we are making so many, we will do all 100 in stages. For example, session one – cutting out all stocking templates and starting to put together, session 2 – sewing all stockings and starting to decorate, session 3 – finishing all stockings and filling with gifts ready to donate.
Another option – we will have some takeaway packs for you to take away and return before mid december. The packs will include everything you need to make the stocking and some simple instructions to follow, so if you know anyone who cant get to an event but would like to contribute, get in touch and we can provide one or several of these packs!
This is a PAYF event, teas and coffees available at every event!
