Free Music! Refreshments!
The Really Friendly Music Group presents a late afternoon choral concert by the renowned Harrogate-based chamber choir Voces Seraphorum, conducted by Kevin Paynes, with Graham Barber (organ).
Join some really friendly people for live music, inspiration and refreshments! Admission is free. Doors open at 3.30 p.m. Music starts at 4.00 p.m.
The programme will last about an hour and features sacred and secular music from the sixteenth century to the present day including works by Felix Mendelssohn, Charles Stanford, Thomas Morley, Eric Whitacre and Paul Mealor among others. In addition, the choir will sing some folk-song arrangements from around the British Isles. All are welcome!
When we say the event is free, we mean that! But should you wish to make a donation, there will be a no-obligation pay-as-you-feel collection at the end of each concert to defray expenses.
Free concerts bookable online are on the 12th and 27th of May. Those who attended are grateful to all the volunteers for their hard work and to the Asda Foundation for supporting the Really Friendly Music Lunches, they do really live up to their name.
