A group of West Leeds volunteers is collecting unwanted spectacles and donating them to a good cause.
The Hookers and Clickers Do it For Charity Group are best known as a knit and natter group which also supports charities and good causes through its efforts
Along with blankets for single beds and for babies the group also sends spectacles people no longer want or need in cases to National Police Aid Charity (NPAC) for them to take to Gambia.
The Hookers and Clickers have so far collected 162 pairs for them.
If you are local to Gotts Park Cafe, Armley and have any spectacles in a case that you no longer need you can drop them in there on any Tuesday 10am to 1.30pm. Adult and children’s spectacles, along with prescription sun glasses, are all welcome.
The group will be there for their regular hook ups – and people are welcome to stay for a cuppa, too.
