A restaurant at the Cardigan Fields development off Kirkstall Road could be transformed into a trampoline centre.
A planning application has been submitted by Land Securities Leisure at unit 8 at the retail park. The unit is currently let by Rosie’s Diner.
A previous application for part of the unit to be turned into a trampoline centre was successful – but this latest application takes up most of the unit.
Apparently a number of companies are interested in developing the unit.
The area flloded on Boxing Day when the River Aire broke its banks. A flood impact statement accompanying the application adds:
“The development will result in a change from a ‘more vulnerable’ use to a ‘less vulnerable’ use and it is not considered there will be any risk of damage during a flood event that requires mitigation.”
The application can be commented on here.
Meanwhile, Frankie and Benny’s restaurant at Cardigan Field has applied for permission for a render finish and timber cladding to the building.
