Fast food giants McDonald’s has closed its Butt Lane restaurant to allow for an extension to be built and refurbsihment to take place.
The company is building a single storey extension in the form of new ‘drive-thru’ booths, alter the ‘drive thru’ lane and introduce news signs and a main sliding entrance door to the restaurant.
McDonald’s also proposes to remove some of the trees screening the restaurant from nearby properties to make room for the altered ‘drive-thru’ lane.
The restaurant is due to reopen on February 2.
