A former serviceman from Bramley who lost a leg serving in Afghanistan has been reunited with one of his medals following a burglary at his home.
Jake Bartlett, who was injured while on duty in 2009, had the service medal taken when two people broke into his home. Police appealed on social media for its return:

Sergeant Chris Brumfitt tweeted:
“The medal has been located! Jake is extremely grateful and thanks everyone for their concern and support following the burglary at his home.”
Mr Bartlett’s mobility vehicle, a grey Mercedes A200, and a veteran’s pin badge were also stolen.
Police say enquiries into the offence are continuing. Anyone with information should call 101 and quote log 116 (March 31).
