The Bramley branch of the Halifax bank has temporarily closed due to a confirmed Covid case.
The branch, at Bramley District Centre, closed its doors earlier this week to allow for the building to be cleaned and will re-open ‘as soon as it is safe to do so’. A Halifax spokesperson said:
“We temporarily closed our Bramley branch to allow for the building to be cleaned, after a colleague was diagnosed with Covid-19. Our priority is the wellbeing of our colleagues and customers.
“We continue to follow Government guidance, and have taken the precautionary steps to advise some colleagues to self-isolate. The branch will re-open as soon as it is safe to do so.”
The spokesperson added that shield screens are provided on counters and there are clear social distancing markers in all its branches. Clear and prominent notices explaining the need to adhere to social distancing are displayed and customers can continue to access their banking through online and telephone as usual.
Customers can also use the post office at Bramley for many of their banking requirements.
