Armley mural: More chances to get involved!

Armley residents can help tpo create a new giant Town Street mosaic at a couple of events this summer.

Environmental social enterprise Seagulls, based off Kirkstall Road, already has a design for the mosaic after asking for ideas from local peoples. The mosaic will be installed on the side of the St George’s Crypt Charity Shop.

Seagulls will be at Christ Church this Saturday (July 7) from 12-5 to help celebrate Meeting Point’s 15th birthday. Meeting Point is a charity set up to support refugees and asylum seekers in Armley. Residents are urged to get involved in mosaic-making at the event.

Seagulls will also be at Armley Festival on Saturday, July 21 on Armley Moor, mosaicing a giant Armley hippo in a heart.

If you know a group or school that would welcome a workshop for the Armley mosaic, then get in touch.
