A live music revivial in Armley is continuing with a concert just before Christmas.
A Ritzy Revival features Louis Louis Louis, which performs classic jump blues, rocksteady and ska with thumpin’ slap bass, honkin’ horns, raucous four-part vocal harmonies and a driving piano boogie.
Joining them will be the Do Rite Trio, who perform ragtime and gospel, and Havana Hurricane perform burlesque.
There is a 1930s prohibition-themed fancy dress code alongside cheap drinks offers.
One of the organisers, Samuel Thornton, said:
“There’s been a lot of interest expressed in Facebook for more live music in the area so we thought we’d try to do something about it.”
The concert will be held on Saturday, December 17 from 7pm until midnight at St Bartholomew’s Social Club in Wesley Road.
Admission is £5 on the door, £4 concessions. Details on the Facebook event page.
