Labour’s Alison Lowe comfortably held her seat in Armley ward at the 2016 Leeds City Council local elections.
She gained more than double the number of votes than second placed UKIP candidate David Caldwell.
Here are the results:
David Caldwell UK Independence Party (UKIP) 1,104
Christine Amy Glover Liberal Democrats 181
Alison Natalie Kay Lowe Labour Party 2,726 ELECTED
Shane Gary Morgan The Conservative Party Candidate 380
David Michael Smith Green Party 453
Beth Sutcliffe Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition 47
Call it what ever you like but the rise of UKIP reveals a catastrophic failure of leadership in West Leeds.
