Got some unwanted clothes, books and toys etc? Then Leeds’s first Kindness Wall at Armley Junktion is the place for you!
The wall, outside Armley Junktion cafe, is a work in progress as these photos from Facebook show.
The ethos of the wall is to ‘take what you need, leave what you don’t!’
Pay as you feel cafe Armley Junktion is part of the Real Junk Food Project, which intercepts good food bound for landfill sites.
Congratulations on keeping your ‘kindness wall’. I live in the South and know that this gesture would never be entertained down here but we could certainly do with more of this community thinking. A winner on so many levels.
Apparently the council want to get rid of this community service. There is a petition at https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/keep-the-kindness-wall
Thanks for your comment, Phil. I think that issue has now been resolved.
