Organisers of the inaugural Armley Festival are calling on the area’s talented teenagers to join them on Saturday, 6th August.
Volunteers behind the All Together Armley group are looking to put on events to give teenagers the chance to show off their skills at Armley’s first festival this summer. The event will see Armley Town Street (pictured above) closed to traffic for the day.
A spokesperson for All Together Armley said:
“We want to give Armley’s teenagers the chance to show off their skills. If they bake cakes, make cards, cakes, candles or anything else for that matter we are inviting them to set up shop at our Town Street Bazaar.
“And it doesn’t stop there if they do magic tricks, dance or even a bit of mime they will be welcome to join in.”
The Festival has so far attracted over 40 stalls and displays from the navy, police and leisure centre, it will also feature music from local bands and BBC emerging artist Harriet.
The West Leeds Dispatch is also pleased to announce that we will also have a stall on the day.
