Supermarket giant Sainsbury’s is set to pilot a link up with Argos at its store in Pudsey town centre.
The Argos collection point will allow customers to order Argos products online, and then collect them in the supermarket the same or following day.
An Argos spokeswoman told The Dispatch:
“The Argos collection point will offer online customers an additional, local pick up option and work as part of Sainsbury’s existing ‘Click and Collect’ collection points in store.
“This is part of a small trial to gauge customer reaction and we will continue to test and learn before deciding on future plans.”
The Pudsey collection point will open 30 November, 2015. It will open daily between 7am and 10pm.
Earlier this year Argos opened ten pilot digital stores in Sainsbury’s, offering a broad range of general merchandise. It’s understood the Pudsey trial is in addition to these stores.
