Grove Methodist Church on Horsforth Town Street is welcoming all to attend their Lent pop up event this Saturday, 12 April.
Starting at 10am and running until 3pm people are welcome to attend the event where there will be free bacon butties and cakes and palm crosses will be distributed.
The event is part of a number of lent events hosted by Yorkshire West Methodist District across the region as part of Susanna’s Table, which invites people to gather round a table during Lent for fellowship and learning.
The concept of Susanna’s table takes its name from Susanna Wesley, mother of John and Charles Wesley, who is considered to have played a huge role in shaping the Methodist movement, providing her sons with education, bible teachings and a nurturing and loving environment.
Events have been taking place to mark Susanna’s Table across the Methodist churches in Yorkshire and globally throughout Lent.
