More than 5,500 runners took to the streets of Leeds this weekend for Age UK’s annual Leeds Abbey Dash.
Money raised will go towards Age UK’s National Advice Line and Telephone Friendship Service, as well as local support and friendship services across Yorkshire.
The event saw an electric atmosphere throughout the city, with supporters lining the streets from the city centre and up to Kirkstall Abbey and back to cheer on runners of all abilities.
From elite athletes chasing personal bests to first-time runners embracing the challenge, Age UK’s Leeds Abbey Dash continues to draw a diverse crowd, thanks to its fast and flat course.
The fastest female runner was Georgie Grgec who crossed the finish line at 31 minutes 36 seconds, followed by Hannah Irwin who finished in 31 minutes 52 seconds, and then Alexandra Bell who came in at 32 minutes 27 seconds.
The fastest male runner was James McMurray finishing the race first in 28 minutes 58 seconds then Charlie Brisley came in at 29 minutes 02 seconds and then Dylan Evans who came in at 29 minutes 04 seconds.
Callum Hall won the male wheelchair race in 24 minutes 05 seconds followed by Oliver Porter who finished in 29 minutes 12 seconds, and then Kalem Bennett who came in at 59 minutes 47 seconds.
