A647 night works start at busy Ledgard Way junction

Works due to start at Ledgard Way junction as part of a £19.77million package of bus priority measures along the A647.

There will be traffic management measures at the junction, with night works starting from Monday, 19 July 2021 for approximately 15 weeks.

Night works will take place Monday to Friday, 7pm to 6am.

Daytime works will start on 9 August, Monday to Friday and works at the junction are due to complete in January 2022.

From Monday 9 August Leeds City Council says some vehicle movements at the junction will change to reflect the movements of the final design.

  • No left turn from Ledgard Way to Armley Road
  • No right turn from Armley Road to Ledgard Way
  • No straight on from Branch Road to Ledgard Way

Traffic affected by these banned movements will be redirected via Pickering Street, which will be opened up to two-way traffic along its full length.

  • No left turn from Branch Road to Stanningley Road.

Traffic impacted by this banned movement will be re-routed via either Armley Ridge Road or Beech Avenue.
