Hundreds of people lined Farsley Town Street – and braved the heavy showers – to celebrate the switching on of Farsley’s Christmas lights.
The event featured a lantern parade organised by Farsley Community Project, along with a special festive market organised by Farsley Farmers’ Market.
The switch on itself was carried out by eight-year-old swimmer Aaryan Mitra, from Swinnow, who has been raising funds for Children in Need. He was joined by FC Farsley’s David Stockdale, along with Santa and Ronnie the Rhino.
